At the Custom House Pier in downtown New London, several shipping containers are being turned into a waterfront restaurant. The brains behind this new City Dock Restaurant is Frank Maratta, owner of Old Lyme’s The Pavilion and Waterford’s Sunset Ribs. It’ll be a kind of a fancy take-out shack with everything from raw oysters to fish and chips to tacos. They hope to open at the end of May and be open about 180 days a year.
